Jez Godlonton (christian disciple)
MY TESTIMONY (condensed version):
Having got to the age of 30 without doing any exercise, 20 years ago, I had become a Christian with no purpose in who I was or care for my body. I was seriously over weight (4 stone) with an addiction to cigarettes and fatty food. I was diagnosed with depression and decided not to part take in the anti-depressants the doctor had prescribed. I decided it was time make some serious sacrifices to the way I live instead and to focus on my health. I'll never forget the prayer I made to Jesus whilst driving to work.
Over the next 6 months I pushed myself to give up my bad habits and run a mile a day (even though I couldn't even run for a bus). The first week I recall shaking and chucking up black mucus as my body was going into shock and clearing out all the bad stuff. But I somehow got through it (thanks to God) and after 6 months began to up the distance and after a year I had lost all the weight and importantly I had found purpose and my heart was gradually realigning to how Jesus would intend.
Accomplished
The next ten years fitness-wise was unreal and I accomplished things I never thought possible; 3 London Marathons, winning my category in the 2003 triathlon corporate games and climbing two of the highest mountain sections of the Tour De France.
Balancing Life
Then 10 years ago I qualified as a personal trainer teaching others how to achieve similar to myself, with balancing health, fitness, family, work, study & social life. Today it gives me great satisfaction when I see someone make changes to bring purpose into their lives and also pass their experience onto others, especially when Jesus is involved.

HEALTH
For a relationship to be growing and healthy, there has to be a regular commitment to two way communication.
Praying is conversation with God.
